DDOT is hiring!

If you are interested in being a vital member of a team that helps Detroiters get to where they need to be, apply for one of our driver or non-driver positions.

Effective Thursday, July 1st, DDOT will lift seating capacity limits. Passengers will still be required to wear a face mask on public transportation per Federal Law through September 13, 2021. While signs blocking off seats will be removed, we encourage social distancing.​

Due to the Juneteenth Mobility Roll & Stroll event taking place in Dearborn on Saturday, June 19 from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m., 1 Vernor, 41 Schaefer, and 2 Michigan will reroute due to road closures. If you have any questions, call Customer Service at (313) 933-1300 Monday- Friday from 6 a.m.

#8 Warren westbound is experiencing a reroute due to a road closure at E. Warren and Dequindre. The reroute is as follows: regular to right on Chene, to left on Ferry, to left on Russell, to right on Warren to regular.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, on Monday, May 31, DDOT will operate on a Sunday schedule. We will resume regular weekday service on Tuesday, June 1.

DETROIT – Beginning Monday, March 15, the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) and SMART will resume fare collection and increase rider capacity.

  • Fare collection and front-door boarding will resume March 15 for both DDOT and SMART
