DETROIT – Beginning Monday, March 15, the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) and SMART will resume fare collection and increase rider capacity.

  • Fare collection and front-door boarding will resume March 15 for both DDOT and SMART
  • Riders are required to wear a mask per federal mandates and maintain social distancing while on the coach
  • DDOT operator vaccination program began

Starting Friday, October 23, 2020, DDOT buses will not go into the Eastland lot until further notice.

Please board and exit the #17 Eight Mile bus (east and west) on Kelly Rd. at the available bus stops.

Starting Friday, October 23 – Monday, October 26, 2020, MDOT will conduct work in front of the State Fair Transit Hub.

Starting Wednesday, October 21 - Thursday, October 22, the following bus routes have detours: 

#9 Jefferson and #80 Villages

Effective Monday, October 5th, 2020, the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) will resume normal service at 3:30 a.m. Masks will continue to be available for customers and are required during the duration of the ride on the coach.

The Detroit Department of Transportation is currently undergoing a driver work stoppage due to a labor dispute. At this time, there is no bus service.
