Focus Group: St. Jean Boat Launch and Riverside Marina
The East Riverfront Assets Study
The year-long East Riverfront Assets Study (ERAS) is an initiative under the Parks & Recreation Strategic Plan. The ERAS will take a focused look at the parks between Hart Plaza and St. Jean through a planning study. The study aims to:
- Learn how Detroiters use these sites now and how they envision them in the future
- Develop a connective vision and actionable plan for creating vibrant, sustainable destinations along the riverfront
- Assess the infrastructure needs of Hart Plaza and the city owned Marinas
- Consider unique feature of each park and connect opportunities to create a continuous riverfront experience
- Revisit and build upon past studies completed by partner agencies such as the 2018 East RiverFront Framework Plan
- Collect and use input from community stakeholders to help shape a final strategic plan
This focus group is centered around St. Jean Boat Launch and the Riverside Marina. Everyone’s welcome to attend any of the focus groups. But we especially want to hear from people who live, work or play near these sites, and those who care deeply about their future.
