City Planning Commission Meeting - September 10, 2020
On Thursday, September 10, 2020, the Detroit City Planning Commission will hold two public hearings to consider proposed rezonings. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom. Please scroll down for viewing instructions.
At 5:10pm, the request of Emily H. Peterson to rezone 1920 Atkinson from R1 (Single-Family Residential District) to SD1 (Special Development District - Small-Scale, Mixed Use) will be considered. The proposal is to convert the existing building into a restaurant with a residential unit above. This hearing was previously scheduled for the August 6 meeting, but problems with the mailed notices required it to be re-scheduled.
At 6:00pm, the request of Brian Hurttienne to rezone 7631 E. Lafayette, 1000 & 1008 Townsend Street from R2 (Two-Family Residential District) to R3 (Low Density Residential District) will be considered. The proposal is to construct a Multiple-Family Dwelling.
