Give a Park, Get a Park Presentations & Exhibition

Please join the residents of Morningside and the City of Detroit from 1-4 pm this Saturday, October 14 for an exhibition and finalist presentations in the City's "Give a Park, Get a Park" design competition.

Five landscape architecture teams from Detroit and across the U.S. have been working with residents of the Morningside Neighborhood to re-imagine a new neighborhood park ("Get a Park") to replace an obsolete and unused park parcel currently serving the community ("Give a Park"). This Saturday, we will announce the winning park designs and host a discussion with the competition jury and design teams.

Come see exciting urban park designs and learn about an innovative process to activate green spaces in communities through collaborative on-site design! The event is free and open to the public at the Alger Theater, 16451 East Warren at Outer Drive in Morningside, Detroit.
