DETROIT CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD EVENING MEETING OCT. 18 HOSTED BY AT-LARGE MEMBERS COLEMAN A. YOUNG II AND MARY WATERS


Detroit residents may share their concerns and discuss any community-related issues at the City Council community meeting on Tuesday, October 18, hosted by Councilmembers Coleman A. Young II and Mary Waters.

The meeting is from 7PM – 8:30PM at Northwest Activities Center, 18100 Meyers Road, and hosted on Zoom. In addition, Councilman Young will share his 40th birthday refreshments with the public at 6PM at the same location. All are welcome.

Citizens and community organizations have the opportunity to identify specific concerns, addresses of problem locations, or other community-related issues and may request discussions or public hearings on issues related to their neighborhoods. Requests for discussions before or presentations to the City Council should be made to the Legislative Policy Division (LPD) staff at (313) 224-4946.

Representatives of City departments will attend and address concerns and explain departmental plans and policies during the virtual Constituent Hour from 5:30PM - 6:30PM preceding the Council meeting.

Interpreters for hearing-impaired residents also will be present if requested at least 48 hours in advance. To make a request, please call LPD staff at (313) 224-4946.
