Detroit’s air quality is expected to increase from Good (Green; AQI 0-50) to Moderate (Yellow; AQI 50-100) on Thursday, July 23, following several days of Canadian wildfire smoke. Most people can continue normal outdoor activities, but conditions can change quickly. People who are sensitive to air pollution should monitor for symptoms and reduce prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity if needed. Check AirNow.gov for current conditions and follow our Facebook, Instagram, and X social media accounts for updates.
