Cass Park

Cass Park

Cass Park is one of the City's oldest parks, established in 1860 and open for public use by 1870.  This 1.1-acre park is on the historic register and features sculptures, walkways and ornamental trees for passive recreation.

In 2025 this park will be receiving much needed improvements, through a $2.5 million City funded project.  The City follows an equity metric (more info at detroitmi.gov/parksplan) to determine when to fundraise and renovate a park across our system of 300+ parks.  And Cass Park is in the current phase to be improved.  Planning and engagement will begin in the fall 2024 and construction will be later in 2025.

And we want to hear from you on what you would like to see in the park!  Attend an upcoming community meeting or take the survey.
