Detroit is continuing to expand its bicycle network through a series of planned and funded projects across the city. These improvements include the 6 types of bike lane types (listed in the bike map), and greenway connections that will create safer, more comfortable travel for people of all ages and abilities. The projects below will improve connectivity between neighborhoods, parks, schools, business districts, and regional trails while supporting a more connected and accessible transportation network.
Status: Design: The project is currently being designed by the City and its partners. During this phase, engineering plans are developed, public and stakeholder input may be incorporated, and the project is prepared for construction. Construction timelines are anticipated and may change as design progresses.
