Messmer Park Improvement Project

Improvements to Messmer Park were identified as Phase 2 priorities based on the analysis completed for our Parks and Rec Strategic Plan (PRSP).  The City has identified funding for a minor renovation but the design for the project must be complete by the end of this Summer for the park to be built by next Summer.

Please see the UPDATED timeline for improvements below!

MEETING #2 @ EAST WARREN FARMERS MARKET ON JULY 27, 2023 FROM 6:00 TO 8:00 PM

Attendees were asked to rate how much they liked each concept and share their reasons why. The results showed that participants preferred Concept #2 because the Tot Lot was further from the street and the layout seemed better distributed. However, they also liked the picnic pods and dog run in Concept #1.  The proposed final design concept will take all of the feedback we've received throughout the process and translate it into a park everyone can enjoy.
