Apply for an Outdoor Dining Permit
An outdoor dining café is any group of tables, chairs, benches and suitable decorative devices or other fixtures, maintained within the public right-of-way; and its intended use is for the purpose of consumption of food or beverage by patrons of a licensed food or beverage service establishment. Seasonal Outdoor Dining Café season begins Opening Day (Detroit Tigers) and ends November 15th, with hours of operation from 7AM to 1AM.

To successfully obtain a permit, you will need to submit a number of documents:
- Application to the Clerk's Office
- Outdoor Dining Café permit application to the Department of Public Works

If establishment is located in a Historic District, you will need to fill out a Historic District Commission Project Review Request Application.
Permit Fee - $457 for new applications / $400 for renewal applications
