Brookins Park is a 1.57 acre neighborhood park located at 11164 Rossiter in District 4 of Detroit's Eastside.  The park features connective walkways, open green spaces, a playground area, and park shelters.

PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Improvements to Brookins Park were identified as Phase 2 priorities based on the analysis completed for our Parks and Rec Strategic Plan (PRSP).  The City identified funding for a major renovation and worked closely with the Yorkshire Woods Organization to design the improvements. 

 

RECENT UPDATES

Park improvement construction is COMPLETE!

By the end of the summer season, the installation of a tot lot playground, new walking paths, half-court basketball, fitness equipment, and picnic areas was completed.

CONSTRUCTION DESIGN

The final design plan incorporates all the feedback received throughout the project and translates it into a park design that everyone can enjoy.
