MyFlight Tours unveils new Detroit Headquarters and Aviation Entertainment Destination
MyFlight officially celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters today at Coleman A. Young International Airport, unveiling a first-of-its-kind destination that brings aviation, hospitality, dining, entertainment, and special events together under one roof.
The grand opening ceremony welcomed Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield, Coleman A. Young International Airport Director Jason Watt, city officials, community leaders, aviation partners, employees, family members, and supporters.
The opening of the new 12,000-square-foot, purpose-built facility represents a major milestone for MyFlight and a significant investment in Coleman A. Young International Airport and Detroit’s east side.
Designed entirely around the guest experience, the new headquarters extends far beyond traditional helicopter sightseeing tours. The facility features a full-service bar, a curated small-plates menu, an outdoor patio overlooking the airfield, private event spaces, and immersive aviation-themed experiences for both flying and non-flying guests.
Visitors can take a helicopter tour over Detroit, enjoy small plates and cocktails while watching aircraft arrive and depart, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, host a corporate gathering, or simply experience the excitement of an active airport in a completely new way.
The headquarters was constructed from the ground up specifically for MyFlight, its employees, and its guests. Every element of the building was thoughtfully planned to make aviation feel more welcoming, accessible, exciting, and memorable.
“This building is the physical representation of thousands of decisions, countless hours of work, and the belief that we could create something truly special,” Cassandra Troiani said. “The building itself has an incredible wow factor, but what makes it even more meaningful are the people who helped bring the vision to life.”

Cassandra and Dominic Troiani of MyFlight cut the ribbon with Mayor Mary Sheffield and Airport Director Jason Watt on MyFlight's new 12,000-square foot helicopter tour headquarters and entertainment facility.
Founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Sergio and Cassandra Troiani, MyFlight Tours began with one helicopter and a vision to make aviation more accessible to the public.
The company has since grown into a multistate operation, welcomed tens of thousands of passengers, and established itself as one of the nation’s fastest-growing helicopter tour operators.
MyFlight now offers sightseeing tours and aviation experiences in multiple destinations across the United States, including Detroit, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Philadelphia, the Smoky Mountains, Ocean City, and northern Michigan.
After years of listening to passengers and studying how guests celebrate, travel, and spend their leisure time, the company designed its Detroit headquarters to introduce an entirely new category of entertainment centered around aviation.
“Over the past several years, we have learned that people are looking for more than a helicopter ride,” said Sergio Troiani, founder and owner of MyFlight. “They want an experience they can enjoy with the people who matter to them. This building brings all of that together in one place. Guests can fly, dine, celebrate, relax, and experience aviation in a new way.”

The new MyFlight facility also is available for special events or casual gatherings with a view of the airport's airfield.
The new headquarters will serve as the center of MyFlight’s national operations while also becoming a standalone entertainment destination for Detroit residents and visitors.
The facility was designed for date nights, family outings, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, proposals, corporate events, private parties, community gatherings, and other special occasions. Guests do not need to purchase a helicopter tour to visit the venue or enjoy its dining, bar, patio, and event offerings.
“MyFlight continues to demonstrate what is possible at Coleman A. Young International Airport,” said Jason Watt, director of Coleman A. Young International Airport. “Their investment has transformed not only their business, but also the way people experience the airport. This facility introduces more people to aviation, creates a new destination within the city, and contributes to the continued growth and revitalization of Detroit’s east side.”
The headquarters was completed following more than a year of planning and construction. Sergio Troiani was personally involved in nearly every stage of the project.
“This project became much more than constructing a building,” Sergio Troiani said. “It represents belief in Detroit, belief in Detroit City Airport, belief in our team, and belief that with enough hard work and the right people around you, you can build something remarkable.”
Mayor Mary Sheffield joined the celebration alongside city officials, recognizing MyFlight’s continued investment in Detroit and its role in expanding tourism, entertainment, aviation access, and economic opportunity on the city’s east side.
"I am so proud of what Dominic and the team at MyFlight have created here," said Mayor Sheffield. "This beautiful new facility is not only a base for MyFlight's growing tour operations, it's also a wonderful event space for special occasions and a major part of the resurgence of Coleman Young International Airport."

Mayor Mary Sheffield prepares to experience a MyFlight Tour over her city.
With the headquarters now open, MyFlight will continue offering its signature helicopter sightseeing tours, private charters, proposal flights, special-event experiences, and custom aviation services while introducing new dining, entertainment, and private-event offerings at its Detroit location.
“We are incredibly grateful to every passenger who trusted us with an important moment, every employee who helped move the company forward, and every partner, friend, family member, and community supporter who believed in the vision,” Sergio Troiani said. “This building is much bigger than the two of us. It represents the thousands of people who have flown with MyFlight and the thousands more we look forward to welcoming here in Detroit and at MyFlight locations across the country.”
“What began as one helicopter and a dream has become something far greater than we ever imagined,” Cassandra Troiani said. “Today is not simply the opening of a new building. It is the beginning of a new chapter for MyFlight and the launch of an entirely new way to experience aviation.”
