Detroit Health Department to host 4th Annual Block Party celebrating the health and wellness of Detroit residents on Saturday, September 6

The Detroit Health Department invites the public to attend the 4th Annual Block Party, a free, family-friendly event offering health screenings, live music, access to essential health resources, plus free food, games and giveaways. The Block Party is a community event where people of all ages can come together to enjoy fun activities, access vital health services, and connect with valuable resources designed to help Detroit residents thrive.

On September 6, the event will kick off at 11 a.m. with our Safe Sleep Walk-n-Rally, led by our Maternal Child Health team. This meaningful initiative raises awareness about the importance of safe sleep practices for infants and young children, and highlights our ongoing commitment to protecting their health.
