2023 Speed Hump Program - Community Outreach

The final list for 2023 speed hump installation will be posted to City of Detroit DPW website by March 27. There will be about 300 speed humps installed during 2023 construction season.

Goals:

  • Slow traffic speeds
  • Address speeding & reckless driving
  • Create a safe neighborhood environment 

Over 25,000 requests to-date & 9,804 speed humps installed

Residents will have a 30-day opt out period from March 27 through April 27 submitted by a block club or neighborhood organization.
