Detroit Health Department’s 2nd Annual Block Party
The Detroit Health Department’s 2nd Annual Block Party will take place on Saturday, September 9th, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine, on John R Street between Mack and Watson (adjacent to the Detroit Health Department at 100 Mack Avenue).
This anticipated event will include:
• Health Resources
• Vaccinations for all ages
• Free health screenings
• Free smoke detectors on a first-come, first-served basis
• Fun, food, music and more
“We are inviting all Detroiters to have some join us at the biggest, healthiest Block Party in Detroit,” said Chief Public Health Officer Denise Fair Razo. We want to take this opportunity to invite everyone to get reacquainted with all the services the Detroit Health Department offers to promote healthy living. During the event, vaccines for all ages will be available including reproductive health testing, free health screenings, and more. There will be giveaways, free food, free smoke detectors will be provided on a first-come first-served basis, a live DJ with dancing, face painting, and fun activities for the entire family!”
The Detroit Health Department is also teaming up with valued community partners to produce an event that will be even bigger than last year, with even more providers offering health care products and services.
