The City of Detroit's Housing and Revitalization Department (HRD) seeks a qualified development team to construct new housing on the 5.47-acre site at 4094 Duane Street, site of the former Birney Elementary School, in the Russell Woods/Nardin Park neighborhood.

HRD considers the proposed project as an opportunity to add density and create intergenerational housing within a unique pocket neighborhood/campus style development in the heart of the neighborhood.

The Request for Proposals is available here

Submissions are due by September 1. Please direct all questions via email to [email protected]

The City of Detroit's Housing and Revitalization Department (HRD) seeks a qualified development team to redevelop the 70,500 square foot former YMCA building at 10100 Harper Avenue, most recently home of Operation Get Down, in the Airport Subdivision neighborhood.

HRD has a preference to see the building redeveloped in such a way that includes Emergency Shelter or Permanent Supportive Housing uses, ideally both. Proposals that don't include either preferred use will still be considered, but potential acquisition funds will only be made available to proposals that incorporate at least one of these preferred uses.

The Request for Proposals is available here

A copy of the building's original Floor Plans is available here

An optional Pre-Submission Conference, followed by a walkthrough of the building, will take place on site at 10100 Harper Avenue Monday, August 26th at 1:00 PM.

Submissions are due by September 20. Please direct all questions via email to [email protected]
