Simanek Park is located at 7461 Rutland Ave in District 7 of Northwest Detroit. After the demolition of Ruddiman School, the large parcel shared by the park and school was split. Now, the park is just shy of 7 acres.

PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Improvements to Simanek were identified in the Cody Rouge/Warrendale Neighborhood Framework Plan (2019-2021)​, which is part of the Strategic Neighborhood Fund (SNF) initiative. Parks and Rec is currently designing the catalytic Park Improvement Project.
