Whom it’s for:
- Current Department of Public Works refuse collection customers
- Commercial properties
- Multifamily residential buildings with more than 4 units. Residential buildings with 4 or fewer units can participate in the [detroitrecycles.org]single-family curbside recycling program for free.
- Note that not all properties may physically suited for recycling service by the Department of Public Works.
How it works:
- Let us know you’re interested by filling out our Commercial Recycling Interest Form or contacting our Recycling Coordinator, Nishaat Killeen, [email protected].
- We visit your property and educate your staff/residents on how to recycle with confidence
- You sign up for 96-gallon carts or a 450-gallon container for weekly service by the Department of Public Works
- We drop off your containers, and you can start to reduce your impact on the environment and send fewer materials to the landfill!
