On Friday, Nov. 21, Woodward between State and Congress will be closed for the Christmas tree lighting celebration in Campus Martius. Detours begin at p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 and are expected to be open to traffic by 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22. Reroute is as follows:

4-Woodward Northbound: From Times Square, to right on Grand River, to left on Woodward, to continue as normal.

4-Woodward Southbound: No detours.

On Saturday, Nov. 22, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Grand River will be fully closed for the tear down of the pedestrian bridge. Detours are as follows:

3-Grand River Westbound: From Grand River, to left on Schoolcraft, to right on Greenfield, to left on Grand River, to continue as normal.

3-Grand River Eastbound: From Grand River, to right on Greenfield, to left on Schoolcraft, to right on Grand River, to continue as normal.

On Thursday, Nov. 27, The Parade Company will host the 2025 America's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the annual Turkey Trot running race. The parade will step off at 8:45 a.m. at Woodward and Kirby and proceed south down Woodward toward downtown. The running races begin at 7 a.m. and take place in and around downtown. Woodward detours begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26; Thanksgiving Day reroutes begin at 6 a.m. All roads are expected to be reopened by 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Reroutes are as follows:

4-Woodward Southbound, day before Thanksgiving: From Woodward, to right on West Grand Boulevard, to left on Cass, to left on Grand River, to right on Washington Boulevard, to left on Larned, to left on Woodward, to continue as normal.

Effective immediately, Lafayette will be closed between Mt. Elliott and E. Grand Boulevard. Reroute is as follows:

Effective immediately, there is a detour on 19-Fort around the Bascule Bridge at Oakwood:

11-Clairmount has a permanent route change, effective immediately:

52-Chene now has a reroute:

30-Livernois has a slight detour at Jefferson. Reroutes are as follows:

Northbound: From Jefferson, to left on West, to right on Fort, to left on Clark, to left on Vernor, to right on Dragoon, to continue as normal.

Southbound: No detours.

Rosa Parks Transit Center will be closed every Friday from 6-7:30 a.m. for additional cleaning. This is in addition to its daily nightly closing between midnight and 4 a.m. for regular cleaning. RPTC re-opens at 4 a.m. daily for normal transit operations.

The Miller Road bridge will be closed until further notice. Reroutes are as follows:

1-Vernor Westbound: Right on Ferney, to right on Wyoming, to left on Michigan Ave., to continue as normal.

1-Vernor Eastbound: From Michigan Ave., to right on Wyoming, to continue as normal.

7-Seven Mile Westbound can no longer make a left turn from Lahser onto Grand River. Reroute is as follows:

Westbound: From Lahser, to left on McNichols, to right on Grand River, to continue into Meijer parking lot.
