Inclusionary Housing Ordinance
HRD implements the City's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance. The ordinance stipulates that HRD publish annual reports, including information on all inclusionary housing transactions and investments made through the Detroit Affordable Housing Development & Preservation Fund, and other information pertaining to the performance of inclusionary housing projects.

Choice Neighborhoods
The City of Detroit was awarded $35 million through the Choice Neighborhoods grant program to preserve housing affordability and construct new affordable housing throughout Historic and North Corktown. Learn more here.

A seven-point, $203 million plan that includes converting long-vacant apartment buildings and Land Bank homes into affordable rental housing, additional housing support resources, getting faster City approval for deeply affordable housing projects, down payment assistance to increase home ownership, help for landlords to bring their rental properties into compliance, rapid placement for good-paying jobs and more. Homelessness Strategic Plan
