How do I request an inspector inquiry?

Contractors can request an inquiry with

the BSEED Boiler Division

The BSEED inspector/supervisor will review the facilities and repair plans to ensure proper application of the code requirements.

 What types of inspections are performed?

Annual: Required for installations and high-pressure repairs (internal and external), low pressure of more than 180,000 BTUs (internal and external), and all equipment.

Biennial: Required for pressure vessels that exceed 15 pounds per square inch (psi).

New Installation: Required for all boiler/pressure vessels

Repair Inspection: Required for all repairs to boilers or pressure vessels and piping.

 

Please note: The basic requirements are not limited to the above information, since an inspector can identify additional requirements in the inspection report.

 When are CSD-1's required?

The CSD-1 Standard applies to boilers more than 400,000 BTU/hr. to 12,500,000 BTU/hr.
