On June 25, 2021, many Detroit homes were affected by flooding, and the city is still helping residents recover through HUD CDBG - Disaster Recovery grant funding .

If your home was affected, you may qualify for the Private Sewer Repair Program. The program covers sewer line repairs at no cost for eligible homeowners. Landlords with eligible tenants can also receive assistance through a forgivable lien of up to five years.
