What is the DTE Data Hub?

The DTE Data Hub is a tool created by DTE to view your building’s monthly electric and gas usage over the past two years. You can also use this tool to track your overall energy usage and spending. For the purposes of the ordinance, you can use the Data Hub to receive aggregated whole building data and have it sent directly to ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to share your DTE data with the City of Detroit and comply with the Benchmarking Ordinance.

Why is benchmarking important?

Buildings in Detroit have the highest opportunity for energy reduction.

Benchmarking is the first step to identifying that potential.

In November of 2023, Detroit City Council unanimously passed the Benchmarking Ordinance, requiring buildings with over 25,000 square feet of space to annually report their energy and water usage to the City.

Check your building size and see if your building is required to report at this link.
