The City of Detroit will begin construction on the Virginia Park Streetscape beginning of August 2026, starting with the center block (Phase 1) as requested by residents. Sidewalk improvements will begin first, followed by brick roadway removal, installation of a new concrete base, and brick restoration. To safely complete the work, the entire block will be closed to vehicle traffic, with access limited to emergency vehicles.  

This meeting will discuss resident responsibilities and pending construction questions.
