Helen Moore Community Center & Ed Davis Park
GRAND OPENING: HELEN MOORE COMMUNITY CENTER & ED DAVIS PARK
The community is invited to join us a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, November 22nd, from 11 AM to 2 PM that marks the completion of the Helen Moore Community Center and Ed Davis Park. Enjoy a DJ, program demonstrations, and food trucks as we celebrate this exciting milestone!

Ed Davis Park is a new park named in honor of Edward "Ed" Davis, the first African American new car dealership owner in the US. The park is located adjacent to the newly renovated Helen Moore Community Center (11825 Dexter Ave) and includes a plaza, playground, fitness equipment, shelter, multi-use sport court, picnic area, drinking found, benches, and newly planted trees.
Helen Moore Community Center (11825 Dexter Ave) is named in honor of Helen Moore, a lifelong Detroit activist. Moore was instrumental in protecting the neighborhood space and has advocated for education and community voice across Detroit.

NEW RECREATION CENTER & PARK PROJECT INFORMATION
