Potential COVID-19 Exposure at Brighton Assembly of God

2020

Residents of Life Challenge Ministries attended services at Brighton Assembly of God on Oct. 4, resulting in a potential COVID-19 exposure impacting Detroit, Wayne and Livingston counties. The Detroit Health Department is working in conjunction with Life Challenge Ministries to identify individuals and advise to self-quarantining for 14 days from date of possible exposure.

Symptoms may appear two to 14 days following exposure and may include:

  • Fever (Take temperature twice daily, a.m. and p.m.)
  • Headache
  • Runny nose or congestion
  • Loss of taste or smell

Free COVID-19 testing is available to tri-county residents at Joseph Walker Williams Community Center, 8431 Rosa Parks Blvd., by calling 313-230-0505

Please note: A negative COVID-19 test result after an exposure does not mean that you will not develop symptoms or test positive at a future time within your 14-day period, you must remain in quarantine for 14 days regardless of participation in testing.

For more information contact the Detroit Health Department Information Hotline (8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday thru Friday) at 313-876-4000, or call 911 if you are experiencing a medical emergency.
