Farwell Park is one of thirteen Regional Parks in the City of Detroit's park system. Located at 4444 E. 8 Mile Rd in District 3, the park is adjacent to Farwell Recreation Center.

PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
The majority of construction is complete at Farwell Park! The park received tennis court improvements, an accessible playground, and over a mile of pathways, including a large walking loop. The park will also be receiving benches, picnic tables, tree plantings and a new concrete pad under the shelter. Stay tuned for ribbon-cutting announcements!

PAST IMPROVEMENTS
Almost entirely due to the advocacy of the Farwell Recreation Advisory Council, tennis court improvements were identified as a high-priority project at Farwell Park. Six tennis courts were replaced, with $500,000 allocated from the City of Detroit's General Fund.
