Mobile Fire Safety House

The Detroit Fire Department Community Relations Division uses the Mobile Fire Safety House to teach children about fire prevention, detection and evacuation using hands-on methods.  The Mobile Fire Safety House features child-size rooms, and real-life hazards like smoke and heat.  The exercises equip children with the skills to prevent fires and respond properly should a fire occur in their homes.  Early Childhood Centers and Head Start Centers are the focus for this specialized training.  There is a fee involved.
