Joe Louis Greenway Neighborhood Stories Ribbon Cutting

Join us as the City of Detroit celebrates the unveiling of the Joe Louis Greenway Neighborhood Stories signage project. Funded by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan's Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Funds, this project includes ten interpretive signs along the Joe Louis Greenway that will guide visitors through the history of the Midwest-Tireman neighborhood. The city worked in partnership with resident Story Gatherers to collect oral histories from long-term residents that were then translated into interpretive signage by the design firm Good Done Daily.
