Park Donations

There are many ways to make a donation to support Detroit’s parks and recreation system.

To donate physical improvements to our parks or recreation centers please follow our Donation Authorization Process.  

The Donation Authorization Form (DAF) process allows organizations and individuals to donate physical improvements to City of Detroit parks or recreation centers.  Before starting the DAF process please be prepared to submit information on the value of the donation, who will be doing the design, installation and regular maintenance of the donation.  You will also be asked to provide supporting documentation of:

1) A gift letter

2) Site plan and/or a picture or rendering of the proposed donation

Once a DAF is submitted it will begin the process of review.  The review process takes approximately 6-8 weeks for completion depending on the scope of the donation project.
