How to Submit a Wall Report
An engineering document dictating the structural integrating of a buildings facade and exterior components.
All buildings and structures 5 stories or more within the City of Detroit are required to submit a signed and sealed engineering report to the Commercial Annual office via email - [email protected]
A Wall Report is required every 5 years from date of BSEED approval.
- Each Wall Report review is $134.00. Owner will receive an invoice via email. Payment MUST be received in full before an approval or denial letter will be issued.
- Payment can be made online at: https://detroitmi.gov/webapp/bseed-feepayments
- A Wall Report, once submitted is reviewed within 14 business days.
- Owner will receive an invoice for $134.00 via email.
- If no deficiencies are found the approval letter will be emailed within 2 business days after date BSEED receives payment.
- If deficiencies are found, owner will receive an invoice for $134.00 via email. Once payment is received a rejection letter will be email to the owner within 2 business days stating the deficiencies found. A new Wall Report and Fee will be required to be submit within 30 business days after date of rejection.
- Owner MUST pay invoice in full before new Wall Report will be reviewed.
