The Detroit Local Emergency Planning Committee, in conjunction with Marathon Petroleum, are hosting the 2026 Emergency Preparedness Fair on Saturday, June 13, from 12 pm - 3 pm at Kemeny Recreation Center, 2260 S. Fort Street.

Learn about important preparedness information to keep your family and community safe.  The free event will also include:

  • Demonstrations

    • CPR/AED Demonstration 

    • Fire Extinguisher training

  • Marathon Emergency Services

  • Family Emergency Planning

  • Children's Activities and Bouncy House

  • Free refreshments

  • Health and Safety Checks

    • Blood Pressure Checks

  • Goodwill Community Services

  • Free youth dental services

  • Sign up to receive City of Detroit Emergency Notifications

  • Michigan Humane Society

    • Low-cost pet vaccines, microchips, and flea/tick prevention

    • Free pet food distribution
