Proposal Summary
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded the City of Detroit an additional $37.6 million under Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery program (CDBG-DR). This funding is in addition to the original CDBG-DR award in the amount of $57.6 million. This award is specifically for aiding Detroit in recovering from the June 2021 presidentially declared disaster, and mitigating risk and impact of future disasters. The City of Detroit is seeking community input on the Substantial Amendment to the revised Action Plan that lays out potential eligible activities that the CDBG-DR award could fund.
