Detroit received $826M in ARPA funds from the Biden administration in 2021 to help recover from COVID-19. That investment has strengthened our city, improved neighborhoods, and provided opportunities for Detroit residents.

The City of Detroit through its Office of the Chief Financial Officer has managed the ARPA financial portfolio successfully since 2021 meeting strict federal compliance guidelines while submitting federally required annual and quarterly reports. As required by the US Office of Treasury, all funds were programmed/obligated on December 31st and will be spent by December 31st 2026.
