Neighborhood Legal Services (Wayne County)  -   To provide comprehensive case management services, including legal representation, peer support and appropriate referrals to victims of human trafficking. Will serve 65 people monthly and 680 unduplicated people served annually. 

Jefferson East, Inc.  - Help residents prepare for emergencies related to extreme weather, flooding, industruial accidents, and large scale fires. Provide CERT training to residents and business owners and provide private security patrols. They will serve 100 people monthly and 5,000 unduplicated annually. 

Avalon Healing Center  -  Avalon’s acute medical forensic services are free. Clinicians and advanced practice practitioners provide immediate comprehensive and compassionate care within the first 120 hours following sexual assault. In addition to providing medical forensic exams and post-assault care and support. Will serve 225 Detroit residents annually. 

M.I.C.H.A.E.L Organization -   Healing Headquarters will provide comprehensive services for a 12-month period. Services include licensed mental health therapy, individual/group grief counseling, art/play/music therapy, advocacy, educational support, physical/recreational activities, social emotional learning, and peer/mentor-based support. Will serve 50 youth annually. 
 

Accounting Aid Society  -  Accounting Aid Society provides free tax preparation and counseling assistance to Low/Mod income Detroit households; provides education in financial management. Applicant will provide tax service estimated at 11,000 units annually. 

The International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit  -  Adult Education/Workforce Development program, the Economic Advancement, Literacy and Training Program. The program will prepare low-income Detroiters with the basic literacy, workforce preparation and training needed to advance economic mobility and eliminate prolonged barriers to self-sufficiency. IIMD expects to serve 1,300 annually. 

Urban Neighborhood Initiatives -   UNI program supports out-of-school education for youth ages 5-14/after school and summer enrichment programs/ workforce development/ STEAM, and reading. The after-school portion of the program will also provide homework assistance and academic support to approximately 300 youth. 

Student Advocacy Center of Michigan -  Check & Connect is a mentoring program that reintegrates students who have found themselves distant from the educational process and school culture, through its intensive, evidence-based approach. . Every week, these mentors, serve as academic guides. The applicant will serve 25 students annually. 

St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Ctr. -   St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center offers preparation for successful completion of the GED exam and assist residents to become economically self sufficient / Offered to adults 18 years and older/ 1,200-potential students. 

Wellspring -   Wellspring's Academic & Youth Development program uses the Kumon math & reading/language arts curriculum and supplements it with such components as college prep, community service, leadership development. The program is provide to youth ages 6-18. The program plans to serve 450 unduplicated youth will be served annually. 

Siena Literacy Center -   Basic Adult Education and Literacy services and support to adults so they can successfully pursue personal goals, which include entering advanced/secondary education or workforce training, developing consumer skills, obtain driver's license, and developing skills to navigate life and society. The program will serve 400 persons annually. 

Goodwills Green Works -   The program provides 10 weeks of classroom instruction and on-the-job learning in appliance repair, recycling, and sustainability practices, equipping Detroit residents with the technical and professional skills to secure good-paying jobs. Each cohort trains approximately 10 participants, preparing 40 trainees annually.

Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP)  -  DAPCEP Program provides nationally recognized enrichment programs in science technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to Pre-K to 12th grade students. Program plans to enroll 1,875 students annually.

Downtown Boxing Gym  -  DBG’s approach to  student-centered education involves a strategic combination of academic support, enrichment  opportunities, and wrap around supports.  as well as daily, from-scratch meals and snacks will serve 350 annually. 

The Greening of Detroit -   Greening job training program works to provide new opportunities for low-income Detroiters to receive training that allows them to enter the green jobs marketplace. Applicant plans to serve 140 people annually. 

Dominican Literacy Center  -  Adult Education/Work Readiness Program offering one on one tutoring, small group instruction and online learning across essential subjects: reading, speaking, listening, math, basic computer literacy, and comprehensive GED preparation. Will serve 250 annually.

The Youth Connection -   Train youth 14-24 for careers. Provide quality youth programming in environ-mental conservation, outdoor recreation, community service projects and on the job training. The program will serve 43 persons monthly and 330 unduplicated person served annually. 

All Saints Literacy -   All Saints Literacy Center (ASLC) pursues a mission to help adults by improving their literacy skills. Qualified tutors provide an individualized learning plan tailored to the goals and objectives of the learner. Will serve 100 people annually.

Cody Rouge Community Action Alliance  -   CRCAA’s new programming for youth and young adults (13–21 years-old) will be oriented around creating individualized professional pathways, hiring a youth success coach to help them achieve their personal and  professional goals. Will serve 30 people annually.

Give Merit -  Give Merit through its FATE program, a cohort based college readiness and leadership experience for high school students residing in the City of Detroit. Will serve 194 students.

L!fe Leaders -   The L!FE Leaders Youth Workforce and Leadership Development Program provides Detroit youth ages 14–24 with paid internship experiences, employability training, and mentorship designed to prepare them for long-term success in the workforce. Will serve 300 youth annually.

Center for Employment Opportunities  -   CEO workforce development program CEO provides services that include Workforce readiness training, Job coaching and Development, and Post-placement retention services. Plans to serve 130 unduplicated participants in the Pathway to Employment program.

Mercy Education Project  -  Mercy Education Project' Girls' Afterschool Programming (GAP)  programming provides one-to-one tutoring in literacy/reading and math, hands on science activities, mentoring, technology, health and wellness, college and career readiness, social emotional learning, leadership, team building, communication skills, problem solving, Will Serve 400 students.

Brilliant Detroit  -  Brilliant Detroit will provide coordinated literacy support for 385 children ages 0–8 in  neighborhoods across Detroit. Services will include High-Dosage Tutoring.

Alkebu-Lan Village  -  The Value of the Village program is ALV’s comprehensive after-school model designed to accelerate academic recovery while strengthening health, identity, and family engagement for Detroit youth. Will serve 100 people annually. 

Southwest Economic Solutions Corporation -    MathUp is an accelerated GED program for adult learners that addresses the significant challenges of passing the math portion of the GED exam. The MathUp program will enroll up to 60 learners.

826 Michigan, Inc.  -  Provides writing programs where students are able to write, revise, and publish original work supported by volunteers. Will Serve 1,800 students annually. 

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers- Detroit Chapter -  “Educational Excellence in STEM Fields” program, an initiative designed to expand access to high-quality, bilingual STEM education for Detroit’s Hispanic and low-to-moderate income youth and families. Will serve 500 people annually.
