On Friday, October 24, 2025 at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of Humboldt Street and W. Forest Street for shots fired. During their investigation, they discovered a 20-year-old male had been fatally shot.

Detectives want to speak to a person-of-interest who was seen running away from the scene, then went to a gas station in the area of West Warren Ave. and Lawton and was picked up by an unknown person in a Chevy sedan.
