The Detroit Police Department is seeking information from the community regarding an Oakland County Sheriff Deputy Fatally Shot in the line of duty. On Saturday, June 22, 2024, at approximately 10:48 p.m., in the area of Park Grove and Schoenherr, Oakland County Sheriff Deputy Bradley Reckling was behind a stolen Equinox, when the vehicle suddenly stopped. The suspects exited the vehicle and fired shots, striking the deputy. He was transported to a local hospital by medics where he succumbed to his injuries.
