On Sunday January 4, 2026, at approximately 1:02 am, officers from the 8th Precinct responded to the 15900 block of Grand River on a critical stabbing. The suspects attacked both victims in front of the location. Victim 1 male in his 20s was transported to a local hospital with numerous stab wounds and remains in critical condition. 

Several minutes later while police were on scene to investigate the stabbing, a second suspect shot and killed Victim 2 at the location. The shooter, who was later identified as Michael Harris, was taken into custody by Detroit Police officers on scene.  Michael Harris was charged with Murder 1st degree, felony firearm and resisting/obstructing. His mugshot is attached.

We are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the remaining suspects and persons of interest responsible for the stabbing. Please see attached photos.
