A Detroit resident had purchased the home as an investment property and was in the process of making renovations at the time the suspect approached and set the home on fire. Thankfully, no one was injured. The suspect, a white/or Hispanic male, is seen on surveillance video from a nearby apartment building wearing a light-colored long-sleeved t-shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap. He fled from the backyard of the location after placing a t-shirt over his face. A minute later, the house is observed on fire.
