The City of Detroit’s Office of Mobility Innovation (OMI) is excited to announce the return of the annual Detroit Bike Summit, taking place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chandler Park (12831 Frankfort St., Detroit, MI 48213).

This year’s theme, “Eastside Bound,” celebrates community, clean transportation, and active mobility on Detroit’s east side. The summit will bring together residents, bike advocates, and mobility partners for a full day of bike rides, food trucks on site, music, raffles, and more. The first 100 registered attendees will be eligible to receive a prepaid lunch voucher, courtesy of our event sponsors.

“Detroiters deserve access to safe, fun, and convenient ways to get around their neighborhoods,” said Tim Slusser, Chief of the Office of Mobility Innovation. “We’re excited to bring the Bike Summit to Chandler Park and highlight the importance of active mobility and community-led solutions.”

Hosted in partnership with local organizations including Chandler Park Conservancy, MoGo, FB4K Detroit, Arke, Eastside Community Network, TREK Detroit, and others, the Bike Summit is free and open to all ages. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or new to biking, this event offers a chance to connect with resources, learn about transportation initiatives, and enjoy family-friendly fun.

“The 2025 Bike Summit at Chandler Park is an amazing chance to highlight the park’s significance as an active center for health, recreation, and community engagement. It aligns with our goal to encourage safe, active living while highlighting our continuous work to develop outdoor spaces that are accessible to everyone. We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to have cyclists, supporters, and families to enjoy all that Chandler Park provides,” said Alex J. Allen, President & CEO, Chandler Park Conservancy.

City Councilmember Scott Benson (D3), said, “Leading this Bike Summit ride through our incredible city is a true honor. It's more than just a ride; it's a powerful statement about Detroit's commitment to accessible, sustainable transportation, and the vibrant, healthy communities we're building together on two wheels.”
