Starting Monday, June 24, construction work will begin at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center. 

The bus stop on Larned will move between Shelby and Griswold until further notice.

Bus routes impacted include: 

  • Detroit will use data to identify barriers to economic opportunity for residents, test promising strategies, and share learnings with other communities
  • Detroit one of ten American cities to participate in new national initiative

This will be a very busy summer and fall for construction in and around the Center and we regret any inconvenience that will result from these activities.

The New Freedom program is to provide transportation options up to 25 miles beyond the Detroit Department of Transportation’s fixed route service area to residents with disabilities of Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park.
