Thank you Black Theatre Network for supporting Detroit artists!

The Black Theatre Network, the nation’s premiere organization of actors, playwrights, designers, technicians, academics and students who study the drama of the African Diaspora, announced they would donate $5000 to support Detroit artists. The donation will help artists and performers who have lost income due to the rapid cancellation of events and gigs.

And to show its continued enthusiasm for Motor City, BTN plans to make Detroit and its theatre history the focus of its 36th annual conference in July.

BTN joins numerous other organizations, corporations and individuals who have donated to the Artists Crisis Emergency Fund, which is raising money to distribute grants to artists.

It’s not too late to donate! The A.C.E. Fund is still open and accepting donations. Any amount, large or small, helps support Detroit’s vibrant arts community.
