FCA Home Repair - Phase II
The FCA Home Repair Phase II program provides home repairs for 60 owner-occupied homes in the FCA Community Benefits Agreement Impact Zone. This program is funded by FCA and administered by Bridging Neighborhoods – City of Detroit.
Recipients will be selected & prioritized based on an Impact Area Score based on the following:
• Income level
• Proximity to FCA site & truck routes
• Length of ownership will be a tiebreaker for applicants with the same score
Applications for the program were accepted from March 1, 2021 to May 10, 2021.

Bridging Neighborhoods mailed 5,360 applications to residential parcels throughout the Impact Area. The counts of parcels mailed to by neighborhood are:
To be eligible for this program, the following conditions must be met:
Your home must be in the Impact Area (see map below).
You must own and live in your home. If the home has more than 1 living unit, only the unit occupied by the homeowner is eligible. Homes must have 4 or fewer units to qualify.
Your household income must be less than 80% of the Detroit Metropolitan Area (HUD) Area Median Income (see flyer for income levels).
Your home has no delinquent property taxes or you are current in a tax payment plan.
Your home has not received a City of Detroit home repair grant in the past 10 years totaling $10,000.
Your home did not receive repairs as part of Phase I.
All requested documentation is provided.
Eligibility does not guarantee participation in the program. If home repairs are the exclusive or shared responsibility of another entity (e.g., condo association) or other property owners, the home does not qualify for this program. City of Detroit employees are not excluded from participating in the program.
How to Apply
Apply online from March 1, 2021 to May 10, 2021. The application period has ended.
Residents could apply online or via a paper application. Paper applications and information about the community meetings were mailed to homes in the Impact Zone.
Eligible applicants will be assigned an Impact Are Score.
To determine an eligible applicant’s Impact Area Score, points will be awarded based on the applicant’s:
Household income level and
Proximity to FCA site & truck routes
Length of home ownership will be used as a tiebreaker if there is a tie for the last spot(s).
