Post High School Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Clark Park Coalition

Clark Park in Southwest Detroit provides year round programming for more than 1,200 youth. It operates the only regulation-sized outdoor ice hockey rink in Metro Detroit. Free lunch is provided daily to more than 100 youth throughout the summer.

Imagine Mentoring (IM)

Imagine Mentoring implements life skills through educational sessions, motivational speaking, internal and external experiences that will inspire and motivate young ladies. IM intervenes and intercedes with their knowledge to naturally encourage young ladies to live beyond their obstacles and dream bigger than they have ever imagined.

Summer in the City

Students will play, read, write and create art projects. Campers must be in grades kindergarten through 5th. Middle school students may participate as volunteers. Summer in the City strives to improve and expand community service by bringing a diverse group of young people together to invest their energy in Detroit.

Youth Power Movement (YPM

YPM has a youth-driven process where young people come together to discuss issues, and understand the issue through research and meetings. YPM allows youth to develop solutions and campaigns as one community, then implement their ideas with the support of adult volunteers. The plan becomes a reality through partnerships with community organizations.
