The City of Detroit is committed to providing a safe work environment for its employees. We want to make sure employees on the job are just as protected as those who are staying home.

 

  • Testing will begin Friday at Joe Dumars Field House at Michigan State Fairgrounds
  • Site will have capacity to conduct 400 tests per day, 14,400 over six-week period
  • Appointments to be taken starting today, testing begins Friday
At 12:01am, Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order (EO 2020-21) went into effect.

Primary routes will be operating throughout the week on a Saturday schedule. Sunday will remain the same. Highlighted “Express Route” service will be suspended until further notice.

  • Officials recommend open areas and avoiding "high touch point" surfaces such as playscapes and exercise equipment
