The Detroit Health Department in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine offers Continuing Medical Education courses on various public health topics. The CME courses provide up to date evidence based research.
The Wayne State University School of Medicine designates each live activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The DHealth Provider Newsletter is an initiative of the Detroit Health Department to provide important information for all Detroit clinicians. This edition includes important information on Hepatitis A, the opioid epidemic, and the Health Department's maternal and infant health priorities. The Physician Detailing program's focus is to engage physicians through 1-on-1 targeted educational outreach that helps physicians provide evidence-based care to their patients. By providing physicians with the most current evidence based best practice to ignite physician behavior change and ultimately improve patient health. The detailing program also engages physicians through continuing medical education and grand rounds.
