3/23/2014 - Interim Executive Fire Commissioner Jonathan Jackson announced today that he will retire from city service effective April 7th. Jackson said he met recently with Mayor Mike Duggan and shared with him that he has been dealing with a serious health challenge that has made it impossible for him to continue to serve at this time.

03/24/2014 - The Detroit City Council will honor four fellowship recipients from Germany at its formal session on Tuesday, March 25. The fellows are the recipients of the McCloy Fellowship, an exchange program through the American Council on Germany, which focuses on exchanging best practices in municipal government between Germany and the United States.
